Executive coaching for leaders. The further up you go, the fewer people you can think aloud with. This is that place — for working out what's really on your plate, and how to succeed without losing yourself.
Recently: a charity chief executive; five senior leaders in national institutions; a head of procurement, team leaders and an executive at a large UK trade retailer.
Chairs, chief executives and directors carrying more calls than there are hours to think about them. A place to slow one down, look at it properly, and see what it's really about.
The conversation you keep putting off. The colleague you can't read. The team that agrees in the meeting and does something else afterwards. Somewhere to work out what's actually going on.
First hundred days, a bigger remit, a board to answer to. Everyone is watching how you read the room; here is somewhere to test that reading before it counts, and be told honestly.
The coaching and the facilitation come from the same place: listening for what's underneath, not just what's being said. In a room, that's the thing nobody is quite saying. One-to-one, it's the thing you keep saying without noticing.
You bring the question — the decision, the person, the pattern. I hold the structure, ask what you've been avoiding, and say what I notice. I won't tell you what to do.
You leave with a clearer view of the thing, a next step you've chosen, and — over a series of sessions — a sharper sense of how you lead when nobody's coaching you.
“Professional, engaged and thoughtful throughout. I learned a good deal from him. We would happily work with Chas again.”
Coaching has a set fee, so you know where you stand before we start. Sessions are up to 90 minutes, by video or in person, and there's nothing to pay until you've decided to go ahead.
If the fee isn't workable for you, email anyway. Circumstances differ, and I keep some room for that.
Drop me a line about what's on your mind. I'll reply within one working day and we'll find a time that suits you.
